Character Catchup for Season 2.

Owen Voncid: a hamsa venerim (elder) and master necromancer.  The last member of a sect called The Reclaimers who seek to take final testimony from the dead in a way that honors and puts them at peace, but also seeks to uncover information useful to the Order’s operations.

Forced to devour the life essence of his previous host to save the Ardent after a treacherous attack by a heretical cult Voncid now resides in the body of Charlie Baybridge.  Much stronger than he has been in millennia having finally fed, Voncid has become obsessed with hunting the perpetrators of the attack who cost him so dearly and has largely taken control of The Order to do so. Voiced by Mitchell Brooks.

Luca: a young adept within The Order, Luca studies in mechanomancy lead him to invent the ghost wax cylinder and recorder, devices that can capture the voices of the dead, the otherworld, demons and even evil gods relatively safely.  This has lead The Order to overhaul their archiving practices as they are now able to make records of their work.

Luca is Owen Voncid’s assistant but has been passed over for a role as a Reclaimer as he is unable to perform magic due to his “incomplete soul body”.  The explanation of this condition is classified.  He now works alongside Ingram Nausay and prepares him to fulfill the role he cannot fulfill. 

Luca does his best to ignore the ghoulishness of his friend and master living within the corpse of his former lover.   Voiced by Aaron Schoenrock.

Phillipa “Pip”:  Under the stage name Phillipa Lefay, Pip worked as a fortune teller for years before being targeted and subsequently murdered by a creature known as the Vile Observer.  Saved from just beyond the veil of death by Voncid, Pip moved to The Ardent and used her skills for prognostication to great effect for The Order.  Unable to leave the Ardent as the Vile Observer still stalks her.

Phillipa was offered a perfect simulated world of happiness and safety by The Cypher, one of the great enemies of the Order, she stayed strong and rejected the false reality.

During the attack on The Ardent Phillipa was brutally targeted for scorning The Glorious in an attack that left her blinded in a way that not even the healing arts of The Order can heal.  She tries to adapt to the darkness and overcome her pain, dread and fear. Voiced by Stephanie Olson.

Herald: the leader of the group responsible for the attack on The Ardent. Has engaged The Order in mystical guerilla warfare for over a year, evading capture and routinely striking at and killing Order members. His followers are so devout they regularly destroy their souls with suicidal curses to ensure they leave nothing for “the defiler of the dead” to revive. The Herald seeks to do what none have managed: to weave the alien desires of multiple Glorious entities into a single purpose and convince them to work together to topple The Pillar and crack open The Vessel. Voiced by Mike LeBeau

Ingram Nausay: a former mage of The Order drummed out by Olivia Biers Weather for unsanctioned black arts and necromancy.  Ingram has a loose relationship with the rules and protocols of The Order, but has found that Voncid has done away with most of the edicts that lead to his expulsion and has been reinstated.

He now finds himself in the role of Master Voncid’s assistant working closely with Luca and being asked to perform the very same magics that lead to his expulsion.  Luckily he has a dark sense of humor and finds the whole situation, more or less, hilarious.  Voiced by Andy Fischer.

Margot Angiers: a member of Blades Gold, the chapter with The Order that hunts humans who dabble within the otherworld or cross forbidden lines.  Margot was scarred at a young age by a violent spirit maliciously placed within a doll and was recruited from within law enforcement.

Margot has risen within the ranks of Blades Gold over the last year due to her viciousness, vengeful drive aligning with Master Owen’s new direction for The Ardent.  She seeks retribution for her murdered partner Nash Faraday and has carved anything that might hinder that goal out of her life. Voiced by Emily Battles.

Kat: A former freelance monster killer, Kat was recruited into the Blades Silver, the chapter within the order specializing in the hunting of monsters.  Kat is a self taught monster hunter, stalking and killing many entities knowns as “feeders” after one fed upon her sister Julie leaving her largely catatonic.

Kat received a substantial promotion after participating in the felling of monstrous entity Charles Baybridge became during the attack on The Ardent, but still seeks to prove herself to the more veteran members.  She desperately seeks a solution to Julie’s affliction. Voiced by Gail Estelle.

Olivia Biers Weather: The most powerful mage of her generation and leader of The Ardent until her battle to banish The Cypher left her a shadow of her former self. Olivia struggles to adjust to a more passive role as she regains her strength, a process that could take decades. Voiced by H. J. Raiter.

Delia: The Ardent’s lead councillor. Delia is charged with overseeing the mental health of the residents, though is having trouble taking care of her own after failing to prevent disaster. Voiced by Sarah Nell.

Nijal: A magewright of The Order.  A supernatural workhorse without hope of respite, Nijal grumbles but diligently performs his duty.  He is not particularly interested in socialization and has never divulged his origin, so don’t ask. Voiced by Josh Esmay.

Apiarist Emea: a venerim hamsa that tends the sacred tree at the center of The Ardent. This tree houses the Phantoma (Ghost Bee) hive and produces the ghost wax and nectar that the hamsa feed upon. Voiced by Alla Illushka.

Adelaide: a recently dead young woman killed on a babysitting job. Voncid felt true heroism from her spirit and resurrected her as an “Enkindled”. Now a being of great power and purifying flame, Adelaide is doing her best to learn how to be alive again. Voiced by Sarah Beck Esmay.

Master Odai: the venerim hamsa in charge of The Orders binding and sealing. He, Emea, Voncid and Dalton were among the first hamsa brood to discover mankind. Voiced by Brian Watson Jones.

Rugen: A master hunter and slayer among The Order, Rugen proves too obstinate to kill and remained sealed but alive in the mysterious “photograph of a woman at the piano” since the attack on The Ardent. Efforts to unseal him are ongoing. Voiced by Mark Garkusha.

Cosa: A powerful construct catalogueing and protecting The Vaults below the ardent. Voiced by Atlas Gizzi.
